Ever wondered what it would be like to live in a bunker or an underground tunnel? One guy did just that, pimping out his underground home with all the stuff one would want.

Situated in the Swiss village of Vals, the house is very unusual to spot even though it has got unusual architecture. There are guest rooms and even an entertainment area.

Over on Freshhome are very nice pictures of the place which looks straight out of some fantasy film.

The country’s subway has posters that tell passengers what not to do on the train. But what if the images are seen without the text? That leaves a lot of room for misinterpretation.

Here’s one: “Do not share food or love in front of a sad, injured man. He’s in enough pain without you rubbing it in.”

Wielding an unwieldy name and great illustrations is Hey Oscar Wilde! It’s Clobberin’ Time!!, a website where comic book artists pay homage to their favorite sci-fi writers and other literary icons.

Started by Steve Gettis, the site is now host to quite a large number of great illustrations done by various comic book artists whose works have appeared in major publications.

Some of the icons covered by Arthur C. Clarke, Orson Welles and George Orwell.

Hollywood movies often feature characters using computers running flashy operating systems that have big fonts, bold colors and pretty much look cool. Mark Coleran is the man behind these fake software interfaces.

His UIs are a mix of old and new, combining bold retro colors with touch gestures. He develops these interfaces with elaborate visualizations in mind, which make them really stand out from one another.

Coleran’s website features his portfolio which includes UIs for Tomb Raider, Bourne Identity and many more major films.

But such events in Sweden are a completely different breed – Dreamhack recently hosted a 10,000 person LAN party that looks simply amazing in photographs.

Fun for the whole family, the kit comes with eleven magnets that can let you boast that your “fridge is ’shopped!”

Quite unfortunate, though, is the fact that they don’t include the cursor magnet.

If there’s a cat heaven out there then this is the one: The Cat’s House. It is a house designed by a Japanese architecture firm specifically for cats featuring a number of playful, but tastefully designed rooms for fortunate felines.

The rooms feature rounded corners, bookcase steps, tunnels, skylights, ceiling catwalks and quite possibly the most awesome thing for cats – a floor-to-ceiling scratching post!

While meat-eaters like me would like to disagree, I love this brilliant ad campaign by International Vegetarian Union that says “Vegetables are all your body needs.”

Almost makes me wish I was a vegetarian.

Scott Campbell, a San Francisco based artist, has probably created the most accurate illustration that summarizes just how creative ideas can be crushed.
